The importance of learning about sustainable development in primary school

Abstract
This paper deals with the analysis of the importance of including education on sustainable development in the curriculum of primary schools. The emphasis is on how such a form of education can contribute to a comprehensive understanding of sustainability issues among children, and how it can improve their critical thinking and ability to solve complex problems. The paper explores possible challenges in the implementation of this form of education and suggests possible solutions for them, including teacher training, development of appropriate resources and promotion of an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Through the analysis of the available literature, the paper shows that sustainable development education has the potential to play a key role in creating a sustainable future.
